Girls Aloud have announced that they are splitting up. A message was posted to the official Girls Aloud Twitter via Twitlonger (very classy), straight after their final tour date in Liverpool.

Like the rest of the “reunion”, even the goodbye message was underwhelming. The message read:

Dear Alouders, we just want to say from the bottom of our hearts Thank you!! This tour has been an amazing experience and the perfect chance to say thank you for being on this journey with us through a decade. It has far exceeded any of our dreams and we hope we are forever your inspiration and reminder that dreams really do glitter!! Your love and support will stay with us forever but we have now come to the end of our incredible time together . Love you lots.

Luckily the girls are releasing The Collection in May where they can cash in another quick buck by selling fans the 5 albums they already own.

Ed Drewett – “Drunk Dial” Video Premiere

ed-drewett-drunk-dialEd Drewett has released the video for Drunk Dial, the first single from his forthcoming debut album Blink which will be released independently following his departure from Polydor Records.

Drunk Dial is a much more commercial sound for Ed compared to his previous single release of Champagne Lemonade. Its sound is similar to his work on The Wanted’s Lightning. The chorus is simple but extremely catchy, especially the second chorus which is sung in a higher octave – it’s almost anthemic.

The video for Drunk Dial can be seen below:

Drunk Dial will be available on iTunes on March 12th.
