ab75b8e654b0a5f5b4350cea9e738d0fDonkeyboy have released their new single Triggerfinger along with the official video. Triggerfinger is the first single from Donkeyboy’s upcoming third studio album.

Triggerfinger is a progression from the sound of their last album. It’s quite a dark track like City Boy but still very electronic. The chorus is full of hooks with Canadian singer Kiesza featuring.

It’ll be interesting to see if the second single is poppier like City Boy’s follow-up Pull of the Eye.

Avril-Lavigne-Rock-N-RollAvril Lavigne’s video for Rock N Roll, the second single from her upcoming self-titled album, premiered earlier today on VEVO. Rock N Roll is another Martin Johnson (Here’s To Never Growing Up) track which Avril co-wrote with Chad Kroeger and David Hodges. The video is hilarious with some clever dialogue and the best product placement ever seen in a music video.

The video is comic book themed and Avril stars alongside Danica McKellar and Billy Zane. The video also has a throwback to Sk8er Boi at the start where Avril is explaining the lyrics on her “new Sony phone”.

The video for Mutya Keisha Siobhan’s comeback single Flatline premiered on VEVO. The video was shot in LA using a Super 8 camera. It’s a very retro and colourful video and makes the girls look like a proper girlband again. MKS look effortlessly cool while performing the song. The only negative is that the camera is very shaky.

Diana Vickers’ music video for Music To Make Boys Cry premiered on VEVO. Music To Make Boys Cry is the title track and the second single from her upcoming second album.

The video, while low budget, is much better than Cinderella. The video is about Diana having a house party but it’s not obvious until she looks in the mirror that she’s imagining that there’s people around her when she’s actually having a party by herself. It’s a clever concept but a bit sad at the same time.
