Kelly Clarkson’s video for People Like Us premiered on her official VEVO. The video is about Kelly working as a scientist but she doesn’t agree with experimenting on a girl so she helps the girl escape.
The product placement in the video is a bit too in-your-face. Kelly takes a picture in the lab with a Nokia which isn’t the worst piece of product placement but the BMW that Kelly drives the girl away in is a bit too much. Also the green screen background during the escape scenes is very cheaply done. It looks like a background from the game Need For Speed.
However, Kelly looks amazing in the video, especially in the performance scenes. The concept is really good too but it could’ve done with a better execution (and possibly a larger budget).

Kelly Clarkson’s video for People Like Us will premiere this Tuesday May 28th on VEVO. E! News broadcasted a preview of the video.
It looks like the video is going to be energetic to match the song. And for the third video in a row, Kelly’s not seen performing with a band.

Lucy Spraggan – “Lighthouse” Video Premiere

Lucy Spraggan’s video for her debut single Lighthouse premiered today. It’s a catchy folk song and the video reflects that. Lighthouse was co-written with Samuel Preston from The Ordinary Boys.

Bo Bruce – “Alive” Video Premiere

Bo Bruce’s video for her second official single Alive from her debut album Before I Sleep premiered recently. Alive is the track which Bo co-wrote with Danny O’Donoghue.
I was a fan of Bo on The Voice but I didn’t listen to her album until this week. It’s a really stunning debut with some incredible songs. Alive was one of the songs I would’ve picked out as a single so I’m glad it’s getting a release.
The video for Alive is about a car accident which Bo and her boyfriend (who strangely resembles Danny) are driving past but by the end of the video it turns out it was actually their car that crashed. Check out the video below:

The Saturdays – “Gentleman” Video Premiere

The Saturdays’ new video for Gentleman premiered today on their official VEVO. It’s a very tongue-in-cheek video with a set reminiscent of Wisteria Lane from Desperate Housewives.
Although the video starts off quite slow, as it progresses to the scenes at the poker table with the girls dressed as men, it begins to get much better, finishing with the girls playing their own love interests.
The video could’ve done without the out-of-place Citroen in the middle of the street and the green screen background, but overall it’s a hilarious video with some priceless moments.
Gentleman will be released on June 30th.
